Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account data — email address and password, or your Google account profile (name, email) if you sign in with Google.
• Alert preferences — ZIP codes, watch areas you draw on the map, distress types, minimum score, and an optional phone number if you enable SMS alerts.
• Billing data — payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we keep a Stripe customer reference and your subscription status.
• Technical data — IP address (used for security and rate limiting) and standard server logs from our hosting provider.
• Waitlist & demo requests— if you sign up at mynextdeal.com/waitlist without an account, we store the name, email, and optional phone number and message you submit, along with your browser’s user agent and an IP-derived value used only for spam and abuse prevention.

We do not collect your device location or use third-party advertising trackers. We do use PostHog, a privacy-minded product analytics tool, to understand how MyNextDeal is used and improve it — it does not sell your data to advertisers. Browser notifications are sent only if you grant permission, and you can revoke that permission at any time in your browser settings.

Why we collect it

Each item above is used solely to deliver the product: authenticate you, show the distress-lead map, send the alerts you configure (email via Resend, optional SMS via Twilio), process your subscription, and keep the service secure and reliable.

Where it lives and how long

Data is stored in Supabase (our database and authentication provider) for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except billing records we are legally required to retain.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with the service providers needed to run MyNextDeal — Supabase (database/auth), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Twilio (SMS, if enabled), PostHog (product analytics), and our hosting provider — each bound by their own privacy and security terms.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it at any time. California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request deletion; EU residents have equivalent rights under GDPR. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.

Beta notice

MyNextDeal is currently in beta. This policy already covers everything we collect today; if data practices change as features ship, we will update this page and note the new “last updated” date above.
